It might be below 0º outside, but we’ve got our minds set on the first weekend of summer and the Delaney Chevrolet Westsylvania Jazz & Blues festival.
And we’re kicking this year off with three big announcements.
Headliner: The New Mastersounds
The New Mastersounds have absorbed a half-century of jazz, R&B, soul, blues, and funk and created a sound that is entirely their own. For over 15 years they have been playing high-energy sold-out shows all over Europe, Asia, and the U.S. We’re very excited to welcome them to the Westsylvania stage at this year’s festival. Check out our New Mastersounds page to find out more.
We thank Delaney Chevrolet for making this early headliner announcement possible.
45 Days, $6,000
We are also pleased to announce the beginning of our Patron Campaign. Last year, the community came through for the Festival with over 80 individual donors giving over $6,000 through our Kickstarter campaign.
This year, we’re moving away from Kickstarter (and its 5% fee) to a patron model for individual donors. Once again, we are offering a variety of rewards for support of the Festival at various levels. And once again, we’re setting a 45-day deadline: $6,000 by April 2.
Westsylvania Blues Happy Hour
As part of the campaign, we’ll be holding a special event: the Westsylvania Blues Happy Hour on March 27. Festivities are set to include door prizes, a beer tasting from local brewery Levity Brewing, and great, live blues music. Look for more information soon.
So: put March 27 and May 23 on your calendar. Tell a friend about the Festival. And please consider supporting another year of great American music in a great American town.
