Born in the deep south of the Georgia cotton fields but raised in the north, Eugene Morgan has an authentic blues/gospel voice and guitar style to match.
His first CD Count on Me, on Bonedog Records, features his warm blues voice and cream-colored fender Stratocaster. Many of his original songs evoke that down home blues/soulful feeling.
Eugene and his friend, pianist John Burgh, have been collaborating since high school. John, whose stage name Junkman is a term of endearment referring to the salvage yard he runs for the family business, has a large repertoire of musical influences including ragtime, jazz and classical. Together their charismatic stage presence and musical prowess will win you over and leave you wanting more.
Eugene and the Junkman represented the Blues Society of Western Pennsylvania at the 2015 International Blues Challenge.
