Friday Night Concert with Benny Benack III Kicks Off DCWJBF 2024

The Indiana Theater will be kicking off DCWJBF 2024 with Emmy-nominated trumpeter and singer Benny Benack III, Friday, May 24. This is a ticketed event and you can get yours via this link.

Benny Benack III enjoys the rare distinction of being a multiple category, Downbeat Magazine "Rising Star" as both a male jazz vocalist and trumpet player. Above and beyond a roster of jazz luminaries, he has played with Josh Groban, Diplo, Ben Folds, and a multi-hyphenate Isaac Mizrahi. Continuing themes from last year's DCWJBF, Benack's resume includes episodes with "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" house band. You can also catch him on Emmet Cohen's "Emmet's Place" livestream. Benack has deeply musical Pittsburgh roots. His grandfather Benny Benack wrote "Beat 'em Bucs."
